MBA Intern - Summer 2014 Internships | Santa Clara, CA, United States

We are seeking a talented and motivated MBA intern to help Chegg work on new product and business development initiatives across the company, helping students from HS into adulthood find discover the learning materials guidance to help them achieve their academic and career goals. The successful candidate will help determine strategy and execution in concert with the company’s business product Leaders.  He/she will likely work across a number of the business units and functions at Chegg, including Chegg Study, Enrollment Marketing, Required Materials, Platform, etc.

Strong analytical and communication skills are critical for success in this role.  An ability and capacity to work on multiple projects at any given time is a must.  A proven passion for education and technology is a plus.  Persistence, creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to succeed will make you successful in this role.  This opportunity is intentionally ambiguous as there are lots of opportunities that Chegg is pursuing in 2014, and we’re looking for someone who can be flexible and help drive outcomes where called upon.   

  • Review and update the ed-tech competitive landscape across key segments and help determine areas of opportunity
  • Present key findings and recommendations to executive staff
  • Support management with key new product initiatives for the company
  • Partner with business and product leaders to create business models and go-to-market plans

  • Diligent, consistent attention to detail, follow-through, and management of all aspects of work
  • Demonstrate positive attitude, respect for co-workers and thoughtful, effective communication with peers and co-workers
  • Maintain in depth understanding of the company's technology, products, and services
  • Support the company's corporate culture including adhering to established ethical standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced computer proficiency skills using excel, powerpoint, and word
  • Must be persistent, creative and have an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience working with management is required
  • First year MBA student
  • Experience using computers (e.g., internet search, email programs)
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams and partnerships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record with people management and development
  • Results oriented with the ability to multi-task, delegate and drive results
