Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR) offers broadband, voice, satellite video, wireless Internet data access, data security solutions, bundled offerings, specialized bundles for residential customers, small businesses and home offices and advanced communications for medium and large businesses in 27 states. Frontiers approximately 13,900 employees are based entirely in the United States.
The Product Intern will report to one of the Product VPs and will be responsible for spearheading special projects in the Product group over a 10 week period. These projects will drive key initiatives to enhance revenue results, and will be linked to core company strategies including but not limited voice, data and video services.
Illustrative examples of these projects might include analysis of impact of price increases, analysis of market share changes, customer profiling/segmentation analysis, development of Information Service Requests (ISRs) for new projects/products, project management of key revenue generating projects, retention program strategic review, specific long-range planning support and market performance reviews.
Specific outputs may include such items as: analysis and financial due diligence of implemented pricing strategies (product mix results, customer migration analysis, organizational/customer impacts and over-all financial results), capital investment return analysis, product development support, channel distribution effectiveness, retention program financial/strategic review and market performance reviews.
As a secondary responsibility, the Product Intern may be asked to provide support where required for ongoing analysis, business case review and revenue generation.
The Product Intern will work closely with cross functional leaders, including the Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Region teams.
This is a product/marketing and customer-focused leadership role, and the right leader should have a passion for understanding the cause and effect of business actions taken on unit and revenue goals and their impact on the overall plans of the corporation. An ability to apply hybrid thinking (business/financial model, customer, technology/engineering) and interpretive perspective on customer, and strategic, implications is important for this role.
In addition, the Intern should have at least a basic grasp of all major business functions and the ability to lead a collaborative process that spans Frontiers various regional and functional groups.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Lead 1-2 parallel projects prioritized by the SLT
- Set the vision and maintain risk-adjusted business case projections
- Motivate team and lead process change
- Complete complex financial analysis/modeling with limited supervision
- Prepare regular updates for EVP, SVP Product VPs
- Present to Senior Leadership Team
- Work closely with all regions and functions, including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, IT and Finance
