Responsibilities
The duties of this position are as follows:
Create highly appealing entertainment, fashion and lifestyle content to keep our Dallas readers between the ages of 25-40, intrigued
Dispatch writing assignments each month for the writers to produce, with deadlines
Direct the writers on producing high level stories
Edit their writings as needed to keep them on a high level, and alert them of what was edited and why
Contact local venues to gain media access for our photographers, camera team and writers
This position should only take a few days of your time per month. After the three (3) month intern period, we look to bring you on as a contracted editor for our magazine. For content, you should follow what's trending in the entertainment, fashion and lifestyle world. We offer course credit for those who are still in school.
Requirements
To fulfill this position, you must have some editing experience, or a degree in journalism. This internship is non-paid during the internship period of three (3) months. After that, we look to bring you on to our staff. This may be full time, or contracted, where you will be compensated based on the amount of work sent to you each month. This amount will be discussed at the end of the internship agreement.
