Description
Splendia, a leading online hotel distributor for luxury hotels, is looking for two Market Coordinator interns for the company's Miami, FL offices for the period of 6 months.
Market Coordinators assist Market Managers in the relationship building with hotel partners, ensuring that all online content is accurate, that rates, availability and promotions are loaded correctly, and that hotels are validating all reservations made through Splendia.
By the end of the internship, each individual will have an in-depth knowledge of the functions of an online hotel distributor, will have built valuable connections with Splendia's top management and will have been exposed to a large number of contacts within the hotel industry in North and South America.
Responsibilities
• Assist new hotel partners in building their hotel profiles on the Splendia website.
• Perform benchmarking studies in Revenue Management strategies.
• Assist hotel partners in any modifications to their hotel profiles.
• Train hotel partners in the use of the Splendia Extranet.
• Assist the Market Managers in the creation of pipelines for new destinations.
• Conduct validation calls to hotels for reservations made through the Splendia website.
• Assist hotel partners in loading promotions on the Extranet.
• Work with Hotel Business team to improve hotel performance on Splendia website.
Requirements
Splendia is looking for an undergraduate student who is majoring in Hospitality or a related field and who is willing to work in the Miami, FL area. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sound knowledge of ecommerce. Multiple languages are a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
