Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market seeks an apprentice to work with the current Market Manager. Sustainable Nantucket is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the community character of Nantucket, Massachusetts, while sustaining its economic and environmental vitality. We cultivate a healthy Nantucket by building a more locally-based and self-reliant food system on-island, and a strong local economy.
Responsibilities
Help Market Manager with most Market duties, including set-up and break-down, staffing information table, selling non-profit merchandise, promotion, aiding vendors, etc. Saturdays June 9-Oct 12 (if possible, or any part), 7am - 3:30pm; also possible to help with Tuesday Market July and August 2:30-7pm.
Requirements
Interest in agriculture and farmers markets a plus.
