Canon, U. S. A., Inc. is currently hiring for our 2014 Canon Insights Intern Program. The Insights Program is a comprehensive program that runs for 10 weeks during the summer. This is a full-time (9 AM to 5 PM), 35 hours a week, paid internship. This program is designed to provide students an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience by participating in significant work projects and exposure to various business units within Canon.Responsibilities:
PES Social Media Initiatives:
- Following competitors’ Social Channels providing analysis and comparisons of their personalities objectives, engagement level and perceived effectiveness Study other B2B social media channels and develop a case study to report best practices and ways brands engage with professional clients Researching new platforms for inclusion in PES social media initiatives from a professional user perspective Assist Marketing planning team in assembling monthly content calendar and providing input on writing phrasing posts Work with advertising/education/outreach teams to consider ways to leverage existing campaigns/assets on social media channels Qualifications:
We prefer students that are entering their Junior or Senior year as of the Summer 2014, however, all are welcome to apply. To succeed in the Insights Program, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power point, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We also require candidates to be enrolled in a related major in the department of interest and have some former work or internship experience.
Marketing, Public Relations or Communications majors preferred. Familiar with major social media platforms (Twitter, Vimeo, Facebook, youtube, etc) preferred.
