Yapp is looking for a savvy and passionate intern to help our founder and CEO nurture and grow our community of Yappers.
Yapp is democratizing mobile technology so that every person on the planet can create his or her own mobile app. Yes, that’s a big vision – and we are just at the beginning. Responsibilities
* Engange with users across all social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Yapp Blog, etc.) and our costumer support site
* Help organize Yapp user meetups and other events to collect feedback and galvinize our community
* Be in "the know" about events going on and proactively contact event organizers to evangilize Yapp
* Reach out to propspective individuals and groups (e.g. college campuses) that are high potential for Yapp
* Provide support for PR opportunities, including building spec apps, collecting user testimonials, and identifying journalists and bloggers
* Help organize and represent our presence at various tech events, demo days, and meetups including creating collatoral, giveaways, etc.
* Anything else you think would advance our mission and our business
Requirements
* You have a stellar social media presence and/or have had other experience managing social media (e.g. for your school, startup, club, parent's biz, whatever etc.)
* Superb communication skills — whether in representing Yapp at a key event or talking authentically to users in 140 character or less
* Tech-savvyness — you learn quickly and know every social media trick before Mashable does.
* Hunger to learn -- you love showing off the stuff you know and are excited about figuring out the unknown
* You are proactive and have creative ideas for how to connect with our existing users + bring in new ones
* Flexible — you can hop online at a moment's notice to deal with any situation
* Passionate about the vision of Yapp to democratize mobile technology to enable real life interaction
* Highly organized with tremendous follow-through abilities to make things happen from start to finish
* You are a wiz at or want to learn Adobe Photoshop
