While our internships are unpaid, we estimate that the educational value through our staff’s time spent training you, our training courses, fees we pay for your attendance at events, resume makeover, and other perks, are well worth over $26,500 per semester! The non-monetary benefits are exponential.
Internships require 20 hours a week for 6 months for those who is still fulltime in school or 30-40 hours a week for those studying online or graduates. (This can be adjusted to meet specific hour requirements for academic purposes.) Internships are currently available for our programs.
Your internship will be based on your career goals and on the needs of the organization. We will train you and give you all the tools you need to be successful. Some of the work may be completed virtually, so you don’t have to plan to work all the time onsite. Because most of our work is done with the U.S. Government, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
Responsibilities
This internship will help you: Develop better communication skills for customer relations and marketing, Learn common e-marketing tools and best practices that are valuable for future employment, Gain exposure to a wide variety of real life marketing needs and solutions, Target campaigns for greater Return on Investment and lower costs to ensure successful marketing approaches. You will gain valuable skills and exposure to the federal business development, capture, and proposal fields. Your projects will include assisting with:Product and event launches
Planning and implementation of marketing campaigns and optimization tactics for
Content management and outreach efforts using social media tools.
Enhancement of OST’s web presence
Marketing research
Additional projects as assigned based on marketing needs and skills of applicant
project management, customer service, and other valuable business skills.
Requirements
Native fluency in English languageStrong writing, organizational and interpersonal skills
Working proficiency with computers and technology
Positive energy and an eagerness to learn
Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with social networks and web media marketing preferred
Proficient user of Microsoft: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Attention to detail
GPA of 3.3 and higher.
