This internship offers the exciting opportunity to use what you've learned and begin structuring Save Wave Energy's Brand with direct leadership from the executive team. You'll work hands on, developing and implementing marketing strategies, managing social media, participating in client relations and sales, and working as part of the team to design a covetable company you would want to work for in the future. You'll learn what sustainable business development is all about with the opportunity to acquire your LEED Green Associate Certification in the process.
We are flexible when it comes to your schedule and we understand that you're still going to school. That said, we are looking for someone with entrepreneurial instincts, someone who wants to build their own company some day, someone with a creative drive and a good work ethic.

Save Wave Energy is a Chicago, IL based Energy Brokerage that specializes in Energy Management and Analysis for residential customers and small businesses. We empower our client’s ability to choose and exist to translate their energy management needs into a working plan. By providing the most efficient service designed with the organization’s competitive position in mind, we are here to help support sound, long-term energy decisions.
Time Commitment:
• Approximately 8-16 hours per week 2-3 days/week, during business hours (between 8am-5pm M-F.) The schedule can be somewhat flexible based on the needs of a qualified intern.
Compensation:
• This posting is for an unpaid internship. Must be able to earn credit through university
• LEED Green Associate Certification Fees and Materials
• % Travel Expenses
Responsibilities
• Assist in the execution of outreach efforts
• Increase knowledge of the Energy Industry, Sustainable Business Development, and LEED
• Aid the developing marketing strategies for promoting business
• Support with branding initiatives
• Help with developing marketing and advertising campaigns
• Social networking and Digital Media Management including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Wordpress.
• Aid public relations efforts including writing and sending press releases.
• Participate in client relations and sales
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Marketing Specialist, Manager, and President
• General office admin duties and projects
Requirements
• Self-Starter; able to work well without constant direction
• Time management and the ability to be punctual and meet deadlines
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft OS and MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint (Adobe PhotoShop preferred)
• Web Design skills a plus
• Previous marketing skills strongly preferred
• Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Business majors preferred
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be of junior or senior standings
