Our objective is to help clients, their families and businesses prepare for a secure financial future. We help identify current financial situations, determine future financial objectives, and then implement a program to help clients achieve those objectives.
The Marketing/Graphic Design Intern will support the Director f Marketing and Communications in maintaining the visual identity of the Penn Mutual brand as well as the Empire Wealth Strategies brand through printed materials, advertisements, signage and help with redesign and maintenance of www.ewsnyc.com. The intern will also be heavily involved in helping individual agents with their individual design needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or undergraduate looking to get hands on experience working as part of a team at a mid-size financial company.
Responsibilities
- Write effective copy, excelling in correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Use alternate forms of communication (including graphic arts), resulting in improved interactions.
- Edit and proof materials and provide constructive feedback
- Assist with design of printed and digital marketing materials, including brochures, posters, flyers, web banners, and training materials for New York City Agency as well as for Producer groups of agency.
- Monitor and update inventories for printed materials. Organize and manage electronic files.
- Edit website and monitor twitter and social media for mention of our agency and company.
- Help prepare weekly newsletter.
- Perform marketing research and general administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Possess skills at initiating innovative ideas, unifying team members, and judging correctly what will appeal to target audiences.
- Prefer challenges that involve communication, are people-oriented, promote networking and socializing, and include roles that call for imagination.
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Microsoft Office
- Resourcefulness, ability to take initiative and to work both independently and as a team are vital.
