Description
Backlight Entertainment has an immediate opening for a marketing intern to help with the promotion of its current and upcoming film projects. Duties will include assisting in preparing media kits for festivals and screenings, managing social media engagement about projects and updating the company's website. Must have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Intern will assist in all aspects of marketing the company's independent films and will aid in the brand management process. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work on the business side of the film industry (marketing, distribution/sales) and not as talent (in front of the camera.)
Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and task management skills
Proficient in social media such as Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube
Ability to take and follow direction
Design skills a plus, but not required
