This position will include a combination of marketing, communication, public relations duties for the City of Saint Paul's Public Golf Courses (Golf St. Paul).
The position will work from late winter through early fall out of the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department's Special Services Division and will work directly with the Division Manager, Course Pros and the Public Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, proofing and sending various communication tools to public related to the Saint Paul Golf Courses. ( “Monthly Golf Overview”, press releases, newsletters, e-blasts...etc.)
- Help manage Golf Stpaul website and social media accounts
- Help support various Golf technology software systems. EZ Links (training provided)
- Coordinate, communicate and assist the various men's and women's club to promote their events.
- Develop new marketing strategies to promote increased golf play
- Various administrative tasks - as assigned
Requirements
- Ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills as well as knowledge about the game of golf
- Prior marketing, communication and/or PR experience is required
- Social media use/understanding a must
- Ability to learn new technology/software is required
