Description
DynaKit Productions produces and distributes the critically acclaimed, LGBT web series, WE HAVE TO STOP NOW and is currently available through a subscription-based, online platform.
We are looking to hire an intern with a strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. Most of this job can be done off site, but intern must be available to meet with Producers periodically.
Expectations from candidates:
- Stellar interpersonal and communication skills, motivated to learn, & reliable
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- Internet savvy; proficiency with Facebook, Myspace, YouTube, and Twitter.
- Ability to work, independently, from home on laptop (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop, HTML and/or Adobe Creative Suite a plus but not necessary.
- Interest in LGBT media a plus but not necessary.
This is a part-time, unpaid internship. However, students at accredited universities may receive college credit.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and post content on blogs, forums, and social networks to further engage our network base.
- Grow and engage our base on social media sites including Facebook, MySpace, Youtube, and Twitter.
- Create and maintain a master email list/database for e-blast newsletters.
- Track Youtube activity and increase optimization using keywords, meta tags, etc.
- Monitor site statistics of company website via Google Reports.
- Research and compile database of genre-specific press contacts & send DPKs (Digital Press Kits) to pertinent press contacts and film festivals.
- Act as DynaKit liaison between Executive Producers and film festivals that have already booked screenings.(re: promo materials, talent appearances/co-ordination.)
- Assist Executive Producers.
Requirements
Students applying for this internship should be Marketing, Business, or Communications majors with experience on the Web and a solid understanding of social media.
