SAAB SENSIS CORPORATION is in search of a motivated, enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering student who would be interested in putting their Computer Aided Design studies to real-work practice through a Summer Co-op/Internship (May-August) opportunity within one of our divisions (Defense & Security Systems and/or Air Traffic Systems) at our Collamer location.
Selected candidates will be invited to participate in phone and/or on-site interviews at Saab Sensis.

Responsibilities
Brief Description of Tasks:
-Creating and modifying assembly drawings, schematics, vendor item control drawings, connection diagrams and bills of materials for complex electronic equipment.
-Using 2D and 3D CAD tools to generate high quality drawings and documents.
-Using mechanical and electrical design and drafting concepts and techniques to perform assigned tasks.
-Appling and understanding fundamental skills of designing and drafting.

Requirements
Required Skills:
-At least one completed class that required the use of a 3D modeling package
-At least one completed class in engineering drawing practices
-Experienced using Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Skills
-Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCad (DWG editor), to create solid models drawings and documents
-Beginning to possess general knowledge of industrial electronic system packaging, including enclosures, cabinets, chassis, electrical connectors, cabling, and mounting hardware.
Qualifications:
-Enrollment in an accredited degree program, with a major in Mechanical Engineering
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
-US Citizen
-Must have completed Sophomore year or greater
