Description

The Minority Mentorship Program is an outreach activity of the Harvard-NIOSH Education and Research Center at the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston MA. This program is designed to provide individuals interested in occupational safety and health an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in the fields of occupational hygiene, injury prevention, occupational health nursing or occupational medicine. Mentees will gain experience from a customized, 40-hour total mentorship program by working closely with a Harvard School of Public Health faculty member. Participants will get the opportunity to read the latest research developments in occupational health and safety, attend research seminars in the field, and sit in on courses such as ergonomics, occupational safety, epidemiology, and/or biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Requirements

Minority individuals interested in occupational safety and health. Please note that minorities are defined by the EEOC as American Indian or Alaskan Native, Asian or Pacific Islander, Black, and Hispanic individuals. Applicants must hold United States citizenship.
