Since 2001, Bionetics Photo Services (BPS) has provided world-class launch imaging and multimedia support services to United Launch Alliance (previously Lockheed Martin) in support of the Atlas II/IIAS/V Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program. Our team provides engineering and maintenance services on a variety of media assets on the launch pad, as well as post-launch multimedia production services.
Beyond our aerospace media operations, BPS also provides a wide array of commercial multimedia production and post-production services for a variety of clients and customers worldwide.
The selected intern will be primarily responsible for the Digitization (Transfer from CD, Scan from Negative), Cataloging (Metadata Input) and Organization (Media Management Software, Physical Asset Labeling) of our multimedia archive library. Depending upon the candidate, field photography/videography tasks may also be available.
All work must be performed on-site at our office in Cape Canaveral, FL. Scheduling is flexible, but work must be completed during normal office hours (M-F 8a-5p).
Responsibilities
- Digitize, Catalog & Organize our Multimedia Archive to an on-line system
- Label and Organize hard-copy archived Multimedia Assets
- Generate Metadata (Keywords) for Multimedia Assets
- Assist Photo/Video Staff during Multimedia Events (Production Assistant)
Requirements
- Passion for Multimedia (Photo/Video); working knowledge of applicable equipment
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X Operating Systems
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrate attention to details while maintaining perspective
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident with a Valid U.S. Drivers License
- Current Enrollment in an accredited College or University
- Experience with Film-Based Photography, Processing & Printing is a plus
- Interest in and/or knowledge of Aerospace and Launch Vehicles is a plus
