Description
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency Region 2 are looking for college students majoring in engineering or a physical science to apply for a summer internship with businesses or organizations located throughout New York State.
The internships are paid and housing stipends are available.

Responsibilities
Students will begin work at the businesses no later than June 3, 2013. The internships will conclude on August 15, 2013 with presentations at the NYS DEC in Albany.
Requirements
All students will work under the direct supervision of an engineer or scientist. Task will vary depending on the business and the project, but could include:
-research on new technologies
-recycling, reuse options
-assist with project planning to go beyond compliance of regulations
-field work and/or office work
