Description

The Wetlands Institute is a non-profit organization in southern NJ who's mission is to promote appreciation, understanding & stewardship of wetlands and coastal ecosystems through our programs in research, education & conservation. This internship is designed to introduce you to environmental education as a profession and further your career, all while you explore one of America's most incredible natural areas. So if being wet, muddy, and happy at day's end sounds like your dream job, then we want you at the Wetlands Institute. Interns will help lead programs for all ages, work directly with live marine animals, teach outreach programs, and work on a variety of other programs and special events to promote the Jersey Shore and its spectacular salt marshes to tourists and residents. Interns work 40 hours per week (some weekends and evenings required), a weekly stipend, and onsite dormitory housing is available.

Requirements

A degree in biology, environmental science, or related field Two years of college Reliable transportation Must be comfortable working on boats
