This intern position, apart from our other posted position focuses on the domestic, United States market. We are a non-profit organization that provides education, training, re-training and workforce development in the United States, and to audiences around the world. We offer on-ground and online courses and training to support students, adult in-work professionals *( or those seeking new opportunities and re-training), researchers, executives, and globally- ambitious individuals wishing to embellish their professional efforts. Among other efforts we hold regular, free workshops in Southern California, publish Articles of interest written by industry experts, and current expertise in various regions of the world. We organize Familiarization Tours to select regions of the world for students, executives, researchers, organizational representatives etc. You may review our website at http://www.globalexecutives.org We are looking for a Social Media intern - for a 3 – 6 month unpaid internship - to get the word out about all our offerings – using every possible social media vehicle. Target audiences will be discussed …but in this instance will be in the domestic American environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students - particularly those in International Relations, business, global business, international marketing, and computer science who want to gain hands-on, real world experience in conducting modern outreach. This is a unique opportunity for students with a truly global inclination.

Responsibilities

Required: Based on the first paragraph about who we are, please send us a word statement of at least 500 - 700 words about a) Why being an intern with us would support your current endeavour- academic, professional or otherwise b) your ideas on “getting the word out about us” . We wish to hire multiple interns, to focus on specific target constituencies, market regions by state or profession, and we will continue to accept applications for 6 months. Requirements

Expectations: - It is hoped that candidates would be – minimally - bi-lingual. In English and the language of any specific linguistic constituency in America, where your efforts could – effectively - be aimed. Those comfortable just employing English are not necessarily excluded. - Candidates should be able to display advanced, wide-ranging awareness of all the most effective social media, and display active daily participation in social media. - Will work directly with the Executive Aide to the Chairman of the organization who will oversee this marketing project. - Will have the opportunity to discuss marketing/social media ideas (focused upon your area of regional/national marketing expertise/interest) that will support our purposes /vision/mission …and have a positive impact on the organization. - Will keep in regular contact with the Executive Aide to the Chairman of our organization, who will provide regular feedback during the campaign. - You will be telecommuting from your own facility, though you may be expected to meet – occasionally - with the Executive Aide to the Chairman of the organization, to discuss strategies and ideas. Meeting via Skype or discussing this campaign over the phone or by email is also a possibility. Regular communication and progress updates will be required. - This is an UNPAID internship and does not offer any financial compensation or benefits. - As necessary/as requested , the organization will document and record all your efforts on its behalf for your Academic/faculty/professional supervisors Needed: - Must have own computer (Desktop or Laptop) with consistent, very high speed, Internet access. - As applicable computer systems/software which support other languages - Excellent verbal and written English skills - Experience with any Office Suite (we use MS Office) - Advanced understanding of: o SEO (Google, Bing, Baidu, etc) o Social Media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Preferred: - Currently enrolled in a college or university Time commitment: - 2 – 3 hrs/day or 7 – 12 hours a week or 3 days a week. - Able to commit to at least 3 months
