The U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of Transition Initiatives, Operations and Management Division (OMD), within the Bureau of Democracy Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance seeks an audio/visual intern to provide initial support to organize and digitize its backlog of historical program materials (pamphlets, training videos, etc.) and later assist with the capture/recording and editing of various in-house training events, meetings, etc
Collect and sort various OTI historical program documents, etc. in preparation for commercial digitization and or archiving;
Identify a variety of commercial services and or in-house technologies which can digitize priority items quickly and at fair and reasonable prices.
Prepare a short summary report, including financial information, for OMD review and approval of various digitization projects.
Following successful completion of the digitization project, the A/V Intern will be the primary point of contact for efforts to capture meetings, trainings and briefing events held within OTI.
Assist with the setup and tear-down of consumer-grade audio/ video equipment, perform audio and video recordings, and complete at least basic video editing (start and stop times, removal of breaks, etc.) and transcode the recordings to formats more appropriate for storage.

RequirementsEDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
· Excellent organizational, administrative and customer service skills.
· Outstanding communication skills.
· Experience with a variety of audio and video recording devices desirable.
· Proven proficiency with digital (non-linear) l audio / video editing software required, including Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premier.
· Must be able to work in a high-energy, dynamic work environment.
