Description

The Interdependence Project (IDP) is a NYC not-for-profit organization providing secular Buddhist meditation, psychology, and philosophy. IDP is committed to bridging the gap between personal development and collective engagement in our world, combining the principles of mindfulness and interdependence with activism, arts, and media. This internship is an opportunity to work in a supportive, creative environment, with a staff dedicated to bringing mindfulness and social engagement to all.

We’re seeking an efficient, organized and energetic intern to help coordinate our small but bustling office. Qualified candidates must be able to order and help manage our office both online and in-house, utilizing excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be a personable, team player, able to work well with others.

Responsibilities

-Assisting the Executive and Associate director with daily office tasks such as merchandise orders and class registration
-Proficiency in the Google Suite, especially Google Spreadsheets, is a priority
-Stocking and inventory of office and supplies
-Greeting visitors as needed

Requirements

-Previous experience in an office environment
-Interest in non-profit office management
-An ability to work independently while also being communicative with the rest of the staff
