Description
Opportunity to be a part of a 65 year oil company engaged in fundraising for a new energy fund project. Seeking summer full or part time (or, earlier, part time) intern to work with senior acquisitions analyst in evaluating producing oil and gas properties. Will need familiarity with financial projects and modeling (either/or financial, engineering) and a knowledge of the oil and gas industry. Potential applicants may have a background in finance or petroleum engineering. Both skill-sets appreciated.
Responsibilities
- intern will be given direct opportunity to work on real, real-time investment decisions
- Work on P&L projections for specific oil and gas properties; prepare investment recommendations
Requirements
- Demonstrate working knowledge of computer software packages, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word; ability to understand and create financial projections and evaluate investment opportunities.
- BA in finance / energy sector appreciated (current students included)
- Ability to identify opportunities in the oil and gas industry
