If you have a desire to become a part of the Entertainment Business, then an internship at the hottest urban radio station in Boston is for you! The internship program of Hot 97 Boston is a program where you can earn college credits by completing tasks within and around the station, and also in the community. As an Intern you will work with the on-air staff and help them prepare for the show, search the internet for the latest music news, and update blogs and other online websites.
Responsibilities
• Assist in general radio station administrative duties as described by management
• Promote events within the local areas and/or any area that we feel needs promoting
• Answer all phone calls; shout outs, requests, etc.
• Manage and encourage audience participation
• Collect and coordinate caller(s) song requests
• Connect with our listeners and grow our listener base
• Maintain website, blog and social media network presence

Requirements
• All applicants must be able to receive college credit
• Each intern is required to do a minimum of 8 hours weekly
• Broadcasting, Audio production, Media Arts, Communications, Journalism,
Radio/TV Majors (preferred)
• Strong initiative and ability to work effectively in a music environment
• Attention to detail and creativity in problem-solving
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Windows based environment including Microsoft Words and Excel
• Knowledge of the Internet
• A High Level of Motivation and Energy
• Able to work in a fast paced entertainment environment
