Description

As a participant in the Compass Operations Internship Program you will assist in the development, implementation and management of brand new structures to facilitate the expanding impact of Compass PHS. We will utilize your ability to collaborate with your team members, as well as fulltime Health Pros, to produce innovative ideas and develop those already established. You will have opportunities to work with multiple levels of management and get to know the ins and outs of Compass including the daily work that lowers healthcare costs for thousands of patients annually. Our comprehensive training program will provide you with essential introductory knowledge of the healthcare industry and the entry level tasks of a Health Pro. You will participate in health care forums, a mentorship program and be given leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

Scope of Position: This position exists as a member of the operations team to benefit both Compass PHS and the intern by providing health care industry specific knowledge in a cooperative learning environment. The intern will learn aspects of the entry level Health Pro position as well as engage and assist in the development and implementation of new structures within Compass PHS. Essential Operations Intern Job Functions: • Stay knowledgeable of the health care world and participate in subject specific forums. • Excel in a collaborative process to benefit Compass PHS by being actively involved in seasonal projects. • Participate in ongoing, extensive health care training. • Assist in daily administrative tasks. • Work closely with supervisor and mentor to develop innovative ideas for Compass PHS. • Engage in higher level thinking to benefit the intern team and Compass PHS • Begin entry level work of a full-time Health Pro. Requirements

Languages: English, additional language skills a plus Education Required: Junior or Senior standing in a Bachelor’s degree program Preferred Majors/Programs/Certification: Communication, Business/Marketing, Healthcare, Liberal Arts Amount of Work Experience: Minimal 0-12 Months Additional Skills: • Possess ability to quickly adapt to rotating requests on a regular basis • Strong communication & interpersonal skills • Ability to analyze and solve problems
