Part-time Paid internship- North Star Canoes Rentals is a small family owned Canoe and Kayak outfitter operating in Vermont and New Hampshire. We are looking for an intern for the summer 2013 Season. The intern will assist with the day to day operation and will have direct contact with customers and assist them with planning the logistics of both day and multi-day Canoe and Kayak trips. The intern will have opportunity of experiencing the day to day operations of a small canoe/kayak outfitter. The intern will work 2-3 days per week and will receive a stipend on $100 per week. Responsibilities
-Trip planning (phones/e-mail. giving out info to potential customers and assisting them with planning there canoe/kayaking trip)
-Desk work (checking in customers and organizing group logistics)
-Outdoor work (maintaining equipment, maintaining campsites and river landing ect.)
Requirements
-must have interest in the outdoor industry or paddle sports industry.
-canoeing/kayak experience a plus but not necessary.
-group leadership experience also a plus.
