Village Critter Outfitter (www.villagecritteroutfitter.com) is a premier pet product boutique located in New Canaan, CT offering value, competitive pricing and unmatched customer service. They carry the best pet foods, supplies and supplements. We are continually and carefully evaluating new foods, while focusing on natural, holistic and organic choices. We do the research, so our customers don't have to. The PR Agent will write press releases regarding Village Critter Outfitter for hot topics in the premium pet product industry. He/She will tell stories, interview people for interesting quotes, submit press releases, follow up and collect press releases as they run, and communicate with the rest of the creative team. They will also book TV and radio guest spots.

Responsibilities

You will work directly with the President and Founder of the company, as well as amazing mentors. The mentorship that you will receive will be worth over $100,000 education in 3-6 months of time. In addition, you’ll have high-level skills and responsibilities to add to your resume. If you are successful as an intern, you will receive a stellar letter of recommendation, contacts to people in high places for business opportunities, and coaching each week to help you reach your professional goals. Everything you create (that is not confidential), will go in your professional portfolio. We will gladly help you arrange for academic credit. You will have first-hand knowledge of how to market your services as a freelancer.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; be organized, creative, and detail oriented; possess very good telephone and Skype presentation; be proficient with computers and technology and comfortable with user friendly software; be able to work both independently and as part of a team; be reliable, punctual, and be able to attend regular (weekly) Skype meetings; be good with multitasking and adaptable to change.
