Description
Busy Italian restaurant group's marketing office is seeking an Full-Time or Part-Time Assistant to increase new private dining leads through research and cold-calling, maintaining client databases and to help in the overall social PR of the restaurants.
Responsibilities
This position presents an excellent opportunity to learn the restaurant and hospitality industries with potential for longer-term employment if desired.
· The restaurant group presently operates two fine dining restaurants in Washington, D.C. with a third set to openly shortly.
· The position involves attending networking events, meeting with hotel concierges and firm marketing professionals to generate event leads.
· The candidate will draft sales newsletters and client pitch materials.
· The candidate will research potential client opportunities and maintain a database of leads.
· The candidate will report directly to the Group’s Director of Marketing and Private Events.

Requirements

Written and verbal communication skills

Ability to be a "self-starter" and able to take initiative.
Comfortable with out-of-the-box internet researching
Knowledge of Social Media tactics
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Knowledge of SalesForce a plus.
