DescriptionWe provide ELEC (Experience Life, Experience China) Program for students and our interns. It is joint-designed by AIESEC Peking University and CITA (China International Teacher's Association) and supported by China Next Generation Education Foundation. In addition to providing a job, we promote cultural understanding between China and other countries.
The Internship Program is designed to help proficient English-speakers participate in the Chinese cultural exchange. This program offers interns a unique opportunity to gain invaluable work experience in Chinese schools while merging into the real life of Chinese. It is an ideal for college students and recent college graduates who want to earn first-hand experience in teaching English abroad and have a passion for Chinese culture. We also welcome anyone with proficient English skills to join this “learning, teaching, and exploring” journey.
Learning: Our program provides Free TESOL training that lasts for half to one month. It will not only prepare you for teaching with us, but also open up a world of opportunities. Host schools have the standard Chinese curriculum for you to learn the basic Chinese.
Teaching: Interns will teach conversational English in their assigned middle schools and high schools. We expect interns to help Chinese students improve their oral English proficiency. Every day requires 3~3.5 hours of work. Teaching section lasts 4 months. After teaching, interns will get the TESOL certificate.
Exploring: At the end of teaching semester, interns have one-month break to explore China. You can travel around the country to experience diverse Chinese lives, cuisine, folk art, and cultures.

Requirements• BA/BS (or equivalent) obtained or currently being pursued at an accredited institution
• High proficiency (native level) of spoken English
• Caring, patient, and responsible, enjoys working with young learners
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills
