Description
We are looking for a Breakfast/Front Desk helper to work at our elegant Bed and Breakfast performing all the duties of an Innkeeper. About 20 to 25 hours per week. Must be able to work at least 1 weekend per month. Minimum 1 year commitment. This is a LONG TERM PERMANENT PART-TIME POSITION.
Morning/Breakfast Hours:
3 to 4 mornings per week (1 weekend per month)
6:30am to 10:30am (might have to work 1 to 2 hours extra helping with housekeeping)
Compensation: $10:50 first 6 months, then $11.50 per hour

Responsibilities
Duties may include but not limited to: breakfast cooking/baking and serving, help housekeeper for about 1 to 2 hours when needed. Excellent Spoken and Written English for Blog Writing, computer updates, phones, check-in/check-out guests, help guests carry their luggage, resolve problems at the b&b. An Innkeeper is someone that is able to run the guesthouse, therefore you must be able to perform all of these duties since you would be covering the other innkeepers while they are off duty.
We will give preference to candidates that has had previous hospitality experience and that live closest to the Guest House. No parking available and parking in DC is very expensive.
Requirements
You must have experience preparing breakfast (eggs Benedict, omelets, quiches, crepes,sandwiches, egg Souffle, muffins, scones, cakes), we'll provide some training but you must have good experience in the kitchen. Must be able to MULTITASK, be Physically Fit (long stairway and no elevator), have lots of energy, be quick, Excellent Written and Spoken English for phone work and Blog Writing, Must be non smoker, non drinker.
