Description

General Statement: This is an ongoing application pool for Instructors that is reviewed on an as needed basis. As Instructors are needed to teach specific courses at the campuses, selections will be made from among this pool of applicants for all campuses- Skyline College, College of San Mateo, Cañada College. If you do not receive a response this could be because there is no position at a particular campus available at the present time or that the position/s have already been filled.

The District
San Mateo County Community College District, one of 72 community college districts in California, is comprised of Skyline College (San Bruno), College of San Mateo (San Mateo), Cañada College (Redwood City) and the central administration building in San Mateo. The Selection Process
Candidates who most closely meet the stated minimum qualifications and Desirable Skills and Abilities will be invited to a committee interview. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee an interview. Selected candidates may be required to demonstrate their job-related skills, including doing a skills demonstration, and may also be asked to provide supplementary application materials.   Duties and Responsibilities: The Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator serves as a liaison between college and clinical affiliates. Responsibilities will include the following:
1.Teaching radiologic technology curriculum.
2.Coordinating and evaluating student clinical experience and the correlation with the didactic component..
3.Monitors and assures student health and safety.
4.Attending monthly clinical instructors' meetings.
5.Carry out image analysis (film critique) sessions.
6.Assisting in the development of curriculum and accreditation documentation.   Requirements: 1.Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or in a related field or the equivalent.

2.Three years (3) of documented full-time clinical experience in the field.

3.Possession of current California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license in full diagnostic radiologic technology.

4.Holds ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.

5.Ability to communicate effectively with persons of diverse cultures and language groups, and people who have disabilities. Demonstrated sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with disabilities.

2.Possession of fluoroscopy license.

3.Experience with or willingness to explore innovative teaching methodologies in addition to teaching mode.

4.Demonstrated ability to supervise students and work cooperatively with other members of the health care team.

5.Ability to communicate effectively with representatives of the local medical community.
