DescriptionMember of the Finance team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry Payroll processing. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities for the right candidate.
This position will be part time 20-25 hours a week, with the possibility to work remotely as needed. Candidate can be a graduate who does not need a internship, but looking to gain experience within their field of study. A BA within the perspective fields are required and coursework can be used as years of experience (contingent on a 3.0 or higher GPA) OR 2 years of professional experience as a payroll assistant or payroll admin is acceptable
Responsibilities? Perform daily payroll department operations
? Responsible for the complete payroll processing. This includes weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly and commission pay.
? Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
? Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
? Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
? Must update and maintain all payroll records. This includes address changes and paycheck changes as depicted on status sheet (taxes, raises or benefits).
? Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
? Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
? Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)
? Update and reconcile monthly bank statements from Paychex
? Load import files received from HR (All Companies)
? Responsible for filing the company's quarterly and yearly taxes.
? Ensures the payroll is in compliance with the law and meets the IRS standards.
Requirements? B.A. in Accounting, Finance, economics or 2 years of related experience
