Service line Performance Analysts sit at the heart of the team, working to specify, collect and present the key performance data and analysis for their service. The post holder will be part of a revolution in the way in which Mercy continuously measures, assesses, and improves performance in clinical, operational, and financial transactions.
The main responsibilities are to: 1. Support the organization in ensuring that performance targets are achieved 2. Communicate performance against key indicators to Mercy leadership at all levels 3. Ensure high quality analysis of clinical, operational, and financial transaction data 4. Support the utilization and selection of necessary analytic platforms 5. Document and share examples of best practices in analytics 6. Identify delivery obstacles to improving transactional performance within business units and working with teams to overcome those obstacles. Support senior leadership by generating new and useful information and insights to organizational performance, translating it into actions that will allow them to interactively improve performance. Specialist Skills Essential: Familiarity with web based analytic delivery systems Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools and advantage, ie Business Objects, Cognos, etc. Familiarity with data warehouse design and architecture,design and implementation of data marts. Broad understanding of the Healthcare business model Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED
Education: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science
Experience: Commercial experience of performance management is an advantage. Familiarity and experience within Healthcare. Experience of complying with healthcare regulatory compliance on clinical, finance and procurement policies and applying procedures correctly advising on future resource requirements and assessing the implications of changing demands.
Other skills knowledge: Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to make sound judgments under pressure and competing demands Strong communication skills. Ability to make extremely complex subjects clear and easy to comprehend. Excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to form strong collaborative relationships. Proposing ways in which communication and marketing can add creative and innovative impact Ability to quickly develop recommendations based on the quantitative and qualitative evidence gathered Comfortable working with data, from gathering and analysis through to design and presentation. Ability to build on the inter-dependencies and relationships between teams to create a common purpose.
