Description

Established husband and wife photography team seeks intern(s) to assist and learn all facets of the business. Working with us, you will be introduced to a wide range of photographic genres, from Fashion, Celebrity, Portraiture, Architectural, Lifestyle, Advertising and Editorial Photography. You will participate in shoot production, execution and post-production tasks as well as studio management tasks. A mature, reliable, motivated, intelligent, hardworking, punctual, self starter is a must. Must also love dogs!

In your initial email to me: Please indicate when you would like to intern, proposing a start date & finish date & how many days a week you would like to come. We aim to have you with us 2-3 days per week from 10am-5pm, but can be flexible with scheduling. Please also attach your resume in the email, including references and outline your goals for this internship with us.

Responsibilities

As our intern, you will assist in the production, execution and post-production of photo shoots. Production duties include, but are not limited to, casting, prop sourcing and talent scheduling. Shoot day tasks would include on-set lighting assistance & digital capture duties. Post-production duties include editing, retouching, file processing, web gallery creation and file cataloging. Studio management duties would be focused mostly on creating a digital archive from chrome & negative film - scanning & cataloging. You would also assist in the scheduling of in-studio shoots.

Requirements

This is an unpaid internship, however, lunch will be provided for you and equipment & studio use will be offered as compensation to the suitable applicant.

College students looking for credit are very welcome; please indicate how many hours you are required to complete to get credit.

Having your own laptop with Photoshop installed is preferred but not required. Some familiarity with Photoshop is necessary. Students must have taken a digital photography class or have a working knowledge of digital photography and a willingness to learn. Knowledge of Capture One Pro and/or Lightroom is also an advantage, though not necessary.
