DescriptionLifeStyle physical therapists are exceptionally trained in neuromuscular and musculoskeletal pathologies. We specialize in relief from dizziness and postural imbalances along with other Vestibular disorders.
We are one of the country's few facilities with the expertise to provide dizzy patients measurable results. Over 90% of our patients with dizziness, vertigo and balance problems experience a marked decrease in symptoms within four to eight weeks. We also help patients seeking relief from pain due to injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, lower back pain and more.
We are located at 3130 N. Lincoln Ave in Chicago, IL. We are within walking distance to all major public transportation (buses, the el) and have metered parking behind the building.
Responsibilities~ Observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report to physical therapist.
~ Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under direction of physical therapist.
~ Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
~ Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing support if needed.
~ Confer with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.
~ Record treatment given and equipment used.
~ Clean and organize work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
~ Perform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms.
~ Maintain equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition, including performing the assembly and disassembly of equipment and accessories.
~ Administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises; apply ice and/or heat, switch patients in the light room, and electrical modality treatments, such as ultrasound and E-Stim.
~ Change linens, such as bed sheets and pillow cases.
~ Wash and dry linens
~ Arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order.
~Minor front desk duties such as checking in patients, scheduling, answering the phones, and collection payments
Requirements- Prefer person with background, classes, degree or interest in health care.
