Riot Comedy: Bringing Jokes to the People, One Thursday Night at a Time.
Three local comedians run this weekly stand up comedy showcase presenting some of Chicago's finest stand up comedy. We are looking for a couple interns to help with production, promotion, and video/photography/editing services. The show is every Thursday night at 9:30pm, set up starts between 8pm - 8:30pm. Schedules are very flexible. We would want an intern that is passionate about stand up comedy and supporting local artists and to help provide an amazing show for both audiences and performers.
Responsibilities
flyering, website maintenance, show set up (lights, seating, sound), on-line promotions, press releases, party planning, purchasing theme events, making jello shots, crisis management, and much more. We want a team where everyone can do tasks they enjoy and want to grow in and not all of the above.
Requirements
Must like comedy.
We would like a student that is studying in any of these fields: marketing, communication, public relations, advertising, computer science and web design, film (video/editing), broadcasting, business, theater, and fine art.
Can work independently and handle responsibility while being able to have fun and enjoy your time with Riot.
