Description
The intern will assist the Program Department of the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland with survey data collection, the Stay Well health education events, volunteer support, linking food donors to programs and other operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Collecting and compiling results of monthly client surveys;
• Assist in working on new maps of services areas;
• Work with the Stay Well health education coordinator to implement events;
• Work with garden and other food donors to match them with hunger programs;
• Assist with hunger center operations and volunteer activities;
• Collect data on best practices to support ongoing operations.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Junior or Senior Status
• Major in urban planning, human service, or community health care
• Available to work 2-3 days per week in the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland office downtown Cleveland in the Rockefeller Building located at Superior and W. 6th Street from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of Microsoft office and internet
• Strong Interpersonal skills
