Pulse of the Streets is an online media magazine website which highlights notable music releases, and other publications, articles, and promotions related to the music industry. Interns will be required to develop promotions and follow directions as instructed to carry out promotional contests and similar activities as a part of the Promotions Intern position.
Daily work will generally be lightweight-tasks including: developing promotion ideas, and ensuring their follow-through, manage tasks as instructed which may include spearheading promotions, and managing advertising for the magazine.
High school education is preferred, however undergraduate Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, and Music Business, students are most encouraged to apply. Applicants should be proficient with typing and basic concepts of journalism and promotions to include: gathering and contacting sponsors, business etiquette, and graphic design. Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite proficiency is a plus.
