PR Intern Role:
• Responsible for keeping all client media reports current and updated
• Assist in developing, implementing, and executing strategic public relations campaigns utilizing traditional, new, and social media
• Writer
• Assist in promoting client events
• Assist in developing, implementing, and executing advertising campaigns
• Reports directly to PR Director
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
• Media research, list building
• Monitoring the media landscape for changes, new contacts
• Reviewing editorial calendars for story ideas, deadlines
• Working with PR Director and account services/marketing to develop pitch angles, hard news press releases, social media messaging
• Writing and editing press releases
• Pitching stories to relevant and appropriate media
• Monitoring news tracking services and maintaining client media reports, clip books
• Miscellaneous research for stories
• Assisting in developing, implementing social media communications
• Assisting with advertising research
• Assisting with miscellaneous projects/activities with other departments, outside agencies, or other organizations as needed
• Attending PRSA meetings with PR Director
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Junior or senior seeking Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or closely related degree
• Writing samples will be required
