The Public Relations Intern is principally responsible for assisting the company founders to drive awareness of MortgageAuction.com to home loan consumers via various media outlets.
Responsibilities
To accomplish this task, s/he needs to:
• Draft and publish company press releases to develop company awareness with consumers, real estate professionals and investor communities.
• Passionately engage with media relations and social media: Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
• Have a working knowledge of computers and email, as well as word processing and database management software.
• Assist in carrying out special and media event planning activities and arrangements as outlined by the company founders.
• Assist with the development and updating of media lists and other databases, lead on communications with targeted media outlets.
Requirements
• Must be a current Junior or Senior enrolled at a four-year institution or acquiring a post-graduate degree. Pursuit of a Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, Business or Journalism degree is desired.
• You must be able to commit 10-15 flexible hours per week, working from home is desired.
• Strong social media presence and working knowledge of multiple platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, etc.) is essential.
• A strong work ethic, risk-taking mentality, and ability to work independently are a must!
• Familiarity with the real estate industry and desire to work for a start-up preferred.
• Prior industry experience in relevant areas desirable.
