We are looking for an administrative Assistant to help with various tasks related to the PR Department at the corporate offices in Torrance, CA, starting immediately. The position will be 2-3 days a week depending on the candidate's availability, with the possibility of part-time hiring.
Responsibilities
Provide assistance in:
Monitoring execution of ads production/traffic;
Preparing Press kits;
Submitting material to publications for editorial consideration;
Dealing with vendors: requesting estimates and samples, placing orders;
Managing various deadline calendars;
Managing/updating contact database on a daily basis;
Sending out mailing campaigns;
Researching new vendors;
Proofreading;
Office filing;
Assembling material for presentations;
Tracking/scanning of press clips;
Social media updates and monitoring;
Requirements
This entry-level position provides extensive administrative support to our in-house PR & Advertising Department (at a high-end, Italian kitchen cabinet manufacturer), assisting in running the daily operations of the office, processing paperwork, doing research and helping with time-sensitive assignments. Occasionally, assistance in specific projects will be needed.
The candidate will also help with details to organize special events.
Requirements:
Must have solid computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of digital file formats a must);
Strong knowledge of English (both written and spoken);
Must be highly organized, extremely dependable, professional;
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines;
Must be very detail-oriented;
Must be friendly and sociable, with great phone manners to be able to take calls and field inquiries;
Must be ready to assist in last-minute emergencies and have the ability to get things done timely;
Must be able to work independently on small projects
