Each of our campuses has a 24-hour emergency, obstetric and medical/surgical services in both Oakland and Berkeley. The Quality Associate position is responsible for handling the institution's highly sensitive and confidential information regarding the Medical Center's quality and patient safety program. The position supports peer review, Quality, Accreditation activities by providing a high level of data management skill, coordination, data inputting and Administrative functions. This position will provide backup for technical MIDAS functions when the responsible Manager is unavailable.
High school diploma or GED is required. Associates degree (A.A.) preferred. Minimum of two to three years related experience in an executive level setting required. MIDAS data management and EXCEL expertise required. Previous health care and/or medical-legal background required. Must have excellent telephone and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to details. Ability to compose routine correspondence and work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Proficient with all Microsoft Office products and database management systems, Excel, MIDAS required. Demonstrates ability to meet tight deadlines and changing priorities and work with a "can-do" attitude. Demonstrates ability to take initiative to get a job done, requires minimal direction.
