Description
Producer will work directly with the host to develop and create the flow of each weekly show. They will be responsible for finding guests, managing the relationships, and developing the interview questions.
BASIC FUNCTION
Produces weekly talk show programming as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Position reports to Host and Senior Producer
Responsibilities
Attends bi-weekly editorial meetings as required
May be required to present content suggestions
Contacts and books guests as assigned.
Provides hosts and interviewers with background research
Directs or call-screens as assigned
May help train part-time production interns.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Professional broadcast experience or equivalent preferred but not required. Background in radio or television show production preferred but not required. Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to write and produce effectively under deadline, high productivity, knowledge of professional broadcast standards and practices, knowledge of current events and business issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to professionally represent the show.
