The Supervision & Regulation (S&R) Department is responsible for supervising and regulating state-chartered banks that are members of the Federal Reserve System, bank holding companies, and financial holding companies. Organizations within the boundaries of the Seventh District are located within portions of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and all of Iowa. The S&R Talent team supports over 500 employees within the S&R Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The Supervision & Regulation Talent (Human Resources) Intern position provides bright students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. This part-time internship is ideal for someone with previous human resources experience/exposure, who is looking to expand their knowledge and skills within the field. This intern will support two Team Leaders and work on recruitment, compensation, training and other employee related projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Duties may include: • Reporting and database management • Communicating with candidates via telephone and email • Assisting with Recruiting and On-boarding processes • Managing open job postings on various career/school websites • Analyzing data and creating presentations for Department leadership • Collecting and analyzing data from numerous elements and sources and interpreting/presenting it collectively to the team

Requirements

Education & Experience: • Junior or senior student pursuing Bachelor degree in human resources • Bachelor degree in human resources is preferred with 6 +months in an HR discipline with dynamic organization. • Coursework in business, human resources, or related areas • Masters degree in human resources beneficial Knowledge & Skills: • Applicants must have a strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in human resources • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills – able to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization • Ability to think strategically and understand interrelations within an organization • Highly proficient on MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, or other human resources information system a plus • Experience with Taleo, or other applicant tracking system • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a green card with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen ** Please apply online to requisition #230419 at www.chicagofed.org to be considered for this position.
