MISSION STATEMENT OF REHOBOTH BEACH MAIN STREET
Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Inc. is a 501 c3 and has been formed in cooperation with the National Trust for Historic Preservation to promote architectural design and rehabilitation, as well as physical and economic use, planning and management of Rehoboth Beach’s traditional downtown area for the benefit of the city’s many commercial, residential and civic interests.
Rehoboth Beach Main Street is working to encourage a strong commercial core in downtown Rehoboth Beach, promote tourism and facilitate long-term economic development and business retention.
Rehoboth Beach Main Street is working to provide incentives to achieve an attractively designed series of storefronts, restaurants and hotels, each unique in its appeal and charm where visitors and residents alike can enjoy the inviting atmosphere created by a revitalized landscape, including distinctive signage, lighting, architecturally renovated storefronts and sidewalks adorned with plantings and flowers...all to enhance the social and economic vitality of the community of Rehoboth Beach.
We need interns in our busy season to plan for future events and help us welcome our visitors.
Requirements
Must be a self starter. The Street Ambassadors will walk around our main streets guiding our visitors and handing out important information to make their stay more pleasant. An intern must be extremely friendly, polite and enthuastic. Must be fit and willing to walk, lift and do basic manual jobs.
Additional responsiblities include preparing for our fireworks display which is presented to over 100,000 people, starting to collect ideas for our holiday celebrations, and keeping our web site up to date. Basic computer knowledge is a must.
