Description
The Society for Worldwide Medical Exchange (SWME) is seeking a full-time Research/Program Assistant to support launch of The Red Book for Medical Meetings, a global database of pharmaceutical regulations and information related to medical education and healthcare systems. The Research/Program Assistant will also support the International Project Manager in implementing logistical programs for medical education events and other tasks required for the day-to-day administration of the SWME.
Responsibilities
Duties Include:
• Research: compile information for The Red Book for Medical Meetings through web-based research and surveys of health care authorities and pharmaceutical companies.
• Database Management: develop, organize and maintain spreadsheets and content files for each component of the database.
• Website Management: Upload content to the website through the online content management system.
• Logistical Program Administration: Assist with researching and contacting vendors to obtain pricing, availability and contractual policies for logistical programs in various cities across the United States.
• Data Entry: Assist with uploading logistical proposals to the event booking system.
Requirements
Preferred Education/Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s student with an interest in special project management and non-profit administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude and strong motivation to learn, build new skills and support the organization
