DescriptionThe Risk Manager will assist with the execution of an ongoing risk management program in Asset Management Risk. The Risk Manager will be responsible for conducting risk assessments in Asset Management areas including asset class businesses, compliance, investment operations, and support services and identifying and mitigating potential control weaknesses in the business. The Risk Manager proactively seeks knowledge about risk management, Asset Management business functions, and investment management discipline. This position will be a key member of the Asset Management Risk Management team, enhancing the team’s ability to increase risk management awareness, decision making and focus within the business groups.
Conduct risk assessments including documenting process flows, activities, risks and key controls.
Process risk assessments within our system of record, OpenPages GRC module.
Perform key control testing in compliance with the Compliance Program standards for asset management’s activities.
Assist with creating and analyzing KRMs in support of various governance reviews.
Assist management with issue/action documentation and resolution tracking.
Assist management with additional ad hoc analysis where needed, such as audit results, incident management, and new corporate risk management initiatives.
Enhance development of the departmental practices, capabilities, and functions.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of business experience is required.
Prior experience in mutual fund operations, compliance, risk management, or audit.
Skills and Knowledge

Solid organizational, analytical and time management skills.
Strong knowledge of the financial services and mutual fund industry
