DescriptionResponsibilities may be quite diverse of a software technical nature. Experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school up to 9 months. SPEC GWPG group focusses on Graphics Workstation Performance Characterization. Experience with graphikcs workstations beneficial. Candidates will write graphics workstation benchmarks, run benchmarks, build models, write reports, etc. Behavioral traits for this position include Effective communication skills,

Some travel may be required quarterly
Minimum skills and experience: Must be pursuing a Masters or PhD in computer science or related field. Computer Graphics experience should include OpenGL and/or DX11
Windows 7 and 8 64-bit required
Visual Studio C/C++ Preferred skills and experience:
Multi-core programming with OpenMP or MPI preferred Fortran experience worthwhile Linux experience preferred
CUDA or OpenCL experience preferred
Bachelors degree in STEM preferred (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math)
1+ years of work or educational experience withsoftware development
3dsmax, Solidworks, SPLM NX, CATIA, Maya, Blender, or other MCAD or digital content creation experience strongly preferred.
Some scientific or mathematics classwork strongly preferred.
