Description

Get hands-on experience and training in a growing field of interest in occupational safety and health management. This position would support business operations through field observations, accident reporting, educational presentations, research projects, and contributing to special projects as needed. Intern will spend time learning all aspects of the business and associated industries with expert mentors to guide them along the way. We are looking for an applicant with a desire to learn about safe work practices across a variety of industries. Successful applicants will have an interest in business, education, engineering, psychology, law/criminal justice, project management, construction, electrical work, transportation, environmental protection, or health management. We are strongly interested in individuals with construction or engineering backgrounds/interest. Bilingual is a plus, but not required. We are willing to work with school schedules and provide educational internship credits! Note: Internship is a 3-month commitment with the possibility to extend or renew upon completion. There is no guarantee of a position upon completion of internship. Transportation may be provided if circumstances require. Stipend positions available. Multiple internships available.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Under the close supervision of a department mentor, the intern will… Perform field observations and record audit results. Visit workplace accidents and document findings. Perform research on relevant topics and present information to be used in official training materials. Support the operations of the consultancy through organizational projects. Use innovative technology to observe and analyze data for trends, solutions, and other performance data. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements: Must be 18 or older. Must be available to work 15-30 hours a week, Monday through Friday (Schedule can accommodate classes). Must have a current and valid drivers license. Knowledge with Mac OS is a plus (We operate exclusively with Macs). Must be willing to work in a team. Education Minimum: High-School diploma. Associate’s level or other degree-in-progress.
