Responsibilities
Candidate will work directly for the Director of Energy Management Solutions, and perform a variety of marketing activities to help generate new opportunities. As a member of our marketing team, this internship will provide the candidate with first-hand experience in developing and implementing a marketing campaign in New England to help promote Guardian's energy efficiency solutions in the commercial and municipal marketplace. This position will provide experience and training in the New England energy efficiency marketplace, and will include training on products and services that are utilized to help commercial and municipal building owners reduce their operations costs as associated with energy consumption. Position is located in our Marlborough office.
Requirements
This internship position is available immediately and can run through the end of June or August. Must be able to work (candidate must be able to work 24 or more hours per week during spring semester and full time over the summer). If you are graduating this year, this position could become a full time opportunity post graduation.
Must possess skills related to telemarketing or is willing to be trained. Candidate should have a clear understanding of direct marketing through outbound telephone calling campaigns, and willing to develop new leads for our sales team. Experience in the energy efficiency market is helpful, but not required. Should have a clear, professional speaking voice. Ability to be trained on the use of Salesforce.com and prior experience using MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook is required. Interest in energy efficiency and return on investment selling models a must. This position requires that the candidate make telephone calls to local businesses to introduce our company, qualify interest in our solutions and develop new sales leads for our sales team.
