Looking for an exciting start to your career in journalism? A new, up-and-coming online music magazine is looking for interns interested in music journalism! If you'd like the chance to attend concerts for free, review unreleased albums, and interview your favorite music artists while becoming a published music writer, this is the internship for you!
Though this internship is unpaid, the experience and opportunity is priceless! Serious writers should apply with samples of their written work, a resume, and a small description of their taste in music and favorite artists. The ideal candidate will be extremely professional, detail-oriented, well-written, and knowledgeable regarding the music industry and various genres of current music. The internship will be based on an email and phone correspondence; interns will work directly with editors to strengthen their writing skills and/or photography, as well as confirming assignments.
Requirements
All interns must have access to their own computer with internet access. Photography interns should also already own a digital SLR camera. Access to transportation (own vehicle or public transit) for assignments requiring local travel. Personal cell phone for conducting business calls.
